Somebody Setup Us The Bomb

The Destructo Worldline is based on the Earth Worldline projected to take place in 2011. A group of players chould begin by choosing to play as one of the superstates or microstates, either all one one side or chosen teams. Or players could begin at a lower level of authority and select world engagements to command, or battalions or squadrons to lead or participate in, or individuals to become.

Selecting the attributes of a president or general should not be of particular concern because they will make your decisions, but will never see combat, nor introduce substantial personal guidance to the field. Choosing physical and social or mental attributes of soldiers and group leaders will elucidate gameplay.

Characters can be set by a rough frame, rated 1-5[6] in as many pertinent categories as required from strength, sensitivity, agility, endurance, constitution, intelligence, leadership, and luck, or on a wider bell curve of 3-30. Detailed characters also mark hit points [Hp] of consciousness and blood points [Bp] of life and have action points [Ap] based on their agility with bonuses from strength and sensitivity. Rough characters and 'bots' can be penciled in as needed or selected from predisposed rough classes. Long term characters earn experience and can acquire special talents, and get $30,000 back for college.

Various equipment can be provided to special teams for special jobs. Each of the superstates has a large warchest at the expense of education and healthcare. They also have a limited ability to produce new kinds of equipment or tools to do tasks of any sort that you care to think of and request including communications and espionage infrastructure. Microstates and megacorporations have a lesser ability to do this but can still field good specially equipped teams and conduct targeted espionage missions.

The game is 'over' when one superstate wins by annexing all territory/resources or renders all other metalcrafting human life on earth slaves, or when available technology makes this impossible, or when Jesus Christ returns to judge the living and dead.
